Find Your Acadia Elopement Vibe

Sit down with your partner and choose the answers that feel most like you. Each one reveals a different side of your ideal elopement experience.

1. Sunrise hush or sunset glow?

  • A. Sunrise hush. Quiet, intimate, and serene. You’re a mountain + sunrise or forest + ferns couple.
  • B. Sunset glow. Warm light, dramatic backdrops, bold feels. You’re likely ocean + cliffs or lakeshore + glow.
  • C. Why Not Both? Ahh, you’re the Full-Day Story type! I love that for you. Mountain sunrise, forest midday, coastal sunset? Let’s do it all! (In fact, our most popular package includes sunrise AND sunset.)

2. Which landscape speaks to you?

  • A.You’re craving the wild, windblown romance of ocean cliffs + waves beneath your feet.
  • B. You love sweeping mountain views and big sky moments.
  • C. Peacefulness and softness of being surrounded by tall ancient trees, dreamy, mystical forest vibes, lush ferns + filtered light.
  • D. You’re grounded, romantic, and love the stillness of the water. Then, the lakeshore is your match.

3. How many guests would you like to have with you?

  • A. Just us (2–6). You’re craving intimacy, seclusion, and space to breathe. This is ideal for any vibe.
  • B. A few of our closest (up to 14). You value connection and want quiet moments and family nearby. Forests and lakeshores work beautifully.
  • C. A mix—we want some private vows + a toast with our people later. You’re a Full-Day Story couple. Let’s weave it all in.

4. Access level?

  • A. Drive-up + short stroll. You’re about having a chill, relaxing, yet beautiful day. A scenic lakeshore, forest, or the Cadillac Mountains would work great!
  • B. 1–2 mile hike, light terrain. You love adventure with a side of ease, so coastal cliffs or forest trails could be the perfect fit.
  • C. Let’s hike. 3+ miles, some elevation. You’re full-on wilderness lovers? The mountain views during sunrise or the hidden beaches could be your vibe!

5. What about the weather?

  • A. I’ll wear boots—bring on the wind. You’re ocean + cliffs people. Let’s chase drama!
  • B. I’d like some shelter from the elements. Forest + ferns or lakeshore + glow will love you back.
  • C. Whatever the weather, we’ll embrace it. You’re a poetic soul. You’ll thrive in any vibe, especially the mountains or foggy coast.

6. How do you want your day to feel visually?

  • A. Super 8 / 35mm film. You crave nostalgia and motion, and I’m right there with ya!
  • B. A mix—give me cinematic and classic. Let’s blend film + digital with moments in motion.
  • C. Digital-first with nostalgic edits. You’re about crisp memories with an artistic soul—any vibe fits.

7. Choose your adventure extras:

  • A. Sunset sail (just us or with fam on a lobster boat)
  • B. Kayaking through calm waters
  • C. A coastal picnic with local treats
  • D. Biking, bonfire, or stargazing at camp
  • E. Dinner alone or with family under twinkle lights/cozy VRBO

8. Sleep setup?

  • A. Cozy campfire and a tent under the stars
  • B. Forest cabin or oceanside stay with a warm shower and a real bed
  • C. Chic inn or modern luxury hotel near Bar Harbor

So What Is Your Acadia Elopement Vibe?

 Ocean + Cliffs

You crave that salty wind, the sound of waves crashing below, and a ceremony with panoramic coastal views. Think Otter Point without the foot traffic. There are dramatic ledges, golden sunsets, and your dress catching the breeze just right. We’ll guide you to private, stunning spots near Bar Harbor.

Mountain + Sunrise

You’re a morning person (or at least willing to become one for this). Cadillac Mountain is the highest point on the U.S. East Coast and one of the first places to catch the sunrise in the country. There are also other beautiful overlooks nearby.

Woodlands

You’re drawn to quiet paths through the woods, where the wind is calm and the air feels sacred. These sheltered forest trails make for intimate, peaceful moments that feel like you’re the only people in the world. Ideal for quiet lovers, introverts, or couples eloping with family in tow.

Secluded Rocky Beaches

Craving the wild, rugged, and windswept Maine coast but without the tourists? You might be a rocky beach soul. Tucked-away shoreline spots, tidepool textures, and salty toes.

Sandy Shores

Prefer the softness of sand between your toes? Acadia’s Sand Beach offers a rare stretch of golden sand surrounded by granite cliffs and turquoise water. It’s one of the park’s most iconic spots for portraits or a ceremony, but timing here is everything to get the most privacy, so sunrise or shoulder season is the best option.

Waterfronts & Lakeshores

Classic Maine. Calm water, pastel skies, mirrored reflections. Lakeshore spots offer beauty and accessibility, making it great for small groups or chill vibes. This one’s for romantics who want space, calm, and room for a quiet picnic or canoe send-off.

Planning Tips for Your Acadia Elopement

  • Permits + Group Size: Most small elopements don’t need a permit under 10 people, but we’ll help you navigate the National Park Service process, if needed.
  • Cadillac Mountain Reservations: Always review the official NPS website for permits, closures, and access updates. With 4.5 million visitors expected in 2025, plan ahead—especially if you want to access Cadillac Mountain, which requires a Summit Road Reservation + park pass.
  • Leave No Trace: We stick to trails, don’t geotag, and protect this land. Always.
  • Footwear & Layers: Even the prettiest overlooks can be slippery or rocky. Bring grippy soles, cozy socks, and layers. We will bring clear umbrellas, just in case!
  • Always pack water and bring snacks. It is important to stay hydrated, and you may need a little pick-me-up along the way.
  • Tides + fog: We check tide charts for coastal locations and lean into the weather. Some of the most cinematic days have been the windiest, foggiest ones.
  • Avoiding crowds: Plan around sunrise, shoulder seasons, and weekdays for the most privacy.

Why We Keep Locations Private

We believe in protecting the magic. Not every place can handle foot traffic. When we geotag fragile locations, we unintentionally expose them to damage. When locations go viral, they get loved to death—literally. So I don’t drop pins, and I don’t name every spot.

When you book with me, you get access to private location guides tailored to your vibe—and that’s part of how we protect both your experience and the ecosystem.
