Are you looking for a romantic getaway? Less than two hours from New York City, find Hudson Valley Rose Bed & Breakfast, a historic gem tucked in the woods and fields of Hudson Valley, New York. The 1847 Stone House has three rooms that have been updated with inviting tubs to soak as well as waterfall showers. Or you can choose to stay in the Manchester Cottage complete with a fireplace and copper Japanese soaking tub. The grounds are lovely and I can’t wait to come back in the Spring to explore.
There is some interesting history with notable former homeowners, fashion designer, Laura Ashley and make-up guru, Kevin Aucion. Guy Clark and Harrison Morgan also had fun refurbishing the home when they owned it. Each owner appointed the home with their own personal taste and style. I love what Jace and Doug did with their new home, it’s so warm and inviting and our bed was beyond comfortable. Every room has a refrigerator and espresso machine. If you want to mosey downstairs, there are three rooms to choose from complete with magazines and a TV. Coffee and tea can also be found on the first floor and your hosts are so gracious, you will feel right at home.
Wait until you see what’s for breakfast! Jace baked delicious treats to snack on and Doug made a delicious frittata accompanied by apple sausage in their own skillets for breakfast. We started with couscous and ended with a banana cocoa smoothie. Let’s just say, we didn’t need to eat for the rest of the day.
This is the perfect place for an intimate wedding, elopement or anniversary. You could even consider an adventure getaway and explore the nearby towns and hiking areas. Check out these other amazing places to stay in the Hudson Valley and Catskills.
