WATCH THE STORY MOVE
A little bit of memory, while it’s still happening
You want the wind in the dress, the shaky hands, the vows, the water, the mountains, the laughter, the quiet in-between pieces, and the way the day moved through you.
“OMG, I just watched and this is stunnnnning 😭🥹 You’re truly so incredibly talented. Vibes are immaculate. ✨ Ethan says it’s beautiful.”
Cloe + Ethan
Calm
Thoughtful planning. Gentle guidance. Time to pause and take in the place you came all this way to be.
Natural
The way you reach for each other. The laughter you couldn’t plan. Space for the day to become your own.
Cinematic
Landscape, light, film grain, and movement. The little details that bring you right back to how it felt.

Why Super 8 Belongs in Your Elopement Story
Super 8 is for the couple who knows their wedding day is going to move too fast. Even if you slow it down.
Even if you build in space. Even if you promise yourself you’ll remember every second.
There are pieces of an elopement that photographs hold beautifully, and then there are pieces that want motion: your vows catching in your throat, the way your partner reaches for your hand, the wind off the coast, the hem of your dress on the trail, your family laughing behind you, the champagne pour, the fog moving across the mountains. That is where Super 8 lives.
It does not replace your photos. It adds another layer to the story.
Digital photography gives you the clarity. 35mm film gives you the texture. Super 8 gives you the movement, the nostalgia, and that strange little ache of watching your day feel like it already belongs to the past.
ONE DAY. ALL ITS LAYERS.
Photo, 35mm Film, Super 8, and Video in One Storytelling Approach
My approach is layered, calm, and intentional, so the whole story feels like it belongs together.
Digital photography
Digital photography holds the crisp, artful pieces.
35mm film
35mm film brings the texture, softness, and imperfect little surprises.
Super 8
Super 8 carries the motion, the atmosphere, and the feeling of being there.
Digital video
Digital video can add vows, real sound, and a fuller cinematic layer when you want more than a short nostalgic film.
The wind, the mountains, and the way the day moved through you.
BEFORE THE DAY. IN THE MOMENT. LONG AFTER.
What’s Included in Super 8 Elopement Coverage
I think of your film like your own personal cinematic movie, something with a beginning, a rhythm, an emotional pull, and a feeling that lingers after the last frame.
01 / GETTING TO KNOW YOU
The story starts with you
Before your elopement, I send detailed questionnaires so I can understand who you are, what matters most, what kind of energy you want the day to hold, what you are nervous about, and what pieces of the story need protecting.
02 / ROOM TO FEEL IT
Letting the day breathe
I think through how the day may unfold, where the emotional beats might live, what moments need space, where Super 8 will matter most, and how the film can move like the day itself.
On the day itself, I’m present enough to follow the awe and beauty as it happens, but prepared enough to know what I’m looking for.
03 / A FILM TO RETURN TO
The feeling in every frame
Music is a huge part of this process. I care about pacing, feeling, atmosphere, sound, silence, movement, and the way one scene carries into the next.
Some moments want to swell. Some need to breathe. Some are stronger because they are quiet.
Hybrid Super 8 + Digital Video for Elopements
Super 8 is beautiful because it is imperfect, nostalgic, and alive. Digital video gives the story another kind of depth: real sound, vows, laughter, movement, landscape, and the parts of the day that deserve more room than a few seconds of film can hold.
When couples want a fuller story, I offer a hybrid approach that blends Super 8 with digital video in one calm, cinematic film. This is not about turning your elopement into a production.
It is about preserving the pieces that matter in the medium that holds them best. Super 8 gives you the texture and ache of memory.
Digital video gives you the vows, voices, atmosphere, and flow of the day. Together, they create a film that feels layered, emotional, and true to the experience itself.
The old-soul feeling of Super 8. The clarity and sound of digital video.
One story, told with care. This is how I naturally see elopements: in still frames, film grain, motion, sound, weather, nervous hands, quiet pauses, and the way the whole day rises and falls like waves.

Why Work With a Hybrid Elopement Photographer + Super 8 Videographer
I grew up with a film camera and a camcorder in my hand, so this is not a trend I picked up because Super 8 started looking cool online. Old home movies, cinematic films, camera movement, music, pacing, atmosphere, and the way a tiny imperfect clip can hold an entire feeling have always fascinated me.
I’m bringing years of wedding experience, digital photography, 35mm film, Super 8, video, planning instincts, location knowledge, music obsession, and a deep respect for the fact that this day only happens once.
Having one intuitive storyteller there for your photography, 35mm film, Super 8, and video protects that space.
You have me reading the room, watching the light, feeling the energy, and paying attention to when you need direction and when you need breathing room.
Less production. Less noise. More presence. The day gets to breathe. You get to breathe. And the story still gets held.
Where I Offer Super 8 Elopement Films
I offer Super 8 elopement films for couples getting married in places that already feel like memory: Acadia National Park, coastal Maine, Grand Teton National Park, the Dolomites, Patagonia, Connecticut, New England, the Southwest, and destination elopement locations that deserve more than one way of being remembered. Super 8 is especially beautiful in wild, weathered places.
Fog on the coast. Wind in the mountains.
Water moving behind your vows. Family gathered close.
A dinner table after dark. A trail, a boat, a cabin, a field, a road you will talk about for years.
This medium belongs anywhere the day has atmosphere. Because Super 8 uses real film and requires extra gear, planning, processing, scanning, editing, and care, I offer it for select elopements where it truly supports the story.
Is Super 8 Right for Your Elopement?
Super 8 is right for your elopement if you care about memory, texture, movement, music, nostalgia, and the feeling of the day beyond still images. It is for couples who love old home movies, film grain, weather, vows, wind, water, landscapes, road trips, family gathered close, and imperfect little moments that feel more honest because they are not polished to death.
It may be for you if you want your elopement documented in a way that feels emotional, cinematic, and deeply personal without inviting a whole production crew into the day. It may not be the right fit if you want every single second captured from multiple angles, perfectly clean footage, or a traditional wedding video that documents the day from start to finish.
Super 8 is not about having everything. It is about having the right things.
The ones that feel like memory.
Photo, film, movement, vows + real sound.

A FEW THINGS YOU MIGHT BE WONDERING
Super 8 Elopement Film FAQs
What is Super 8?
Super 8 is real motion picture film with a nostalgic, grainy, imperfect look that feels closer to an old home movie than a modern wedding video. It has texture, movement, flicker, softness, and a little bit of beautiful unpredictability.
Is Super 8 different from regular wedding video?
Yes. Super 8 is filmed on physical film and has a nostalgic, artful, imperfect quality, while digital video offers clearer footage, sound, vows, and longer storytelling.
Do you offer both Super 8 and digital video?
Yes. My hybrid approach blends Super 8 with digital video when couples want the texture of film with the depth of real sound, vows, movement, and a fuller cinematic story.
Do we still get digital photos?
Yes. Super 8 is offered alongside digital photography, and 35mm film is included in my elopement work. Your final story can include digital images, 35mm film, Super 8, and digital video depending on the collection you choose.
Is 35mm film included?
Yes. 35mm film is included in my elopement work because film is part of how I see and tell the story. Super 8 adds motion to that film-forward approach.
Can you record our vows?
Yes, vows and real audio can be included with hybrid Super 8 and digital video coverage. Super 8 itself does not record audio the way digital video does, so if your vows, voices, ceremony sound, or environmental audio matter deeply to you, hybrid coverage is the better fit.
How long is the final Super 8 film?
The final length depends on the amount of coverage, the number of rolls, the story, and whether digital video is included. Super 8 films are usually shorter and more nostalgic, while hybrid films can hold a fuller emotional arc with vows, sound, and more of the day.
Is Super 8 good for outdoor elopements?
Yes. Super 8 is beautiful for outdoor elopements because it loves movement, weather, texture, and atmosphere. Wind, fog, water, mountains, coastline, forests, candlelight, road trips, and quiet in-between moments all feel incredible on film.
Can we add Super 8 to our Acadia, Grand Teton, Dolomites, or Patagonia elopement?
Yes, Super 8 can be added to select destination elopement collections depending on location, travel, timeline, coverage, and the story we are building. It is especially meaningful for places that already feel cinematic and alive.
Is Super 8 worth the investment?
Super 8 is worth it if you care about memory, texture, nostalgia, movement, and the feeling of the day beyond still images. It is not for every couple, but for the ones who love film, old home movies, and cinematic storytelling, it becomes one of the most emotional pieces of the final delivery.
A LIVING LITTLE PIECE OF YOUR DAY
Let’s Add Super 8 to Your Elopement Story
If you already know your elopement is going to be something you’ll want to feel again, Super 8 might belong in the story. Maybe it’s the vows.
Maybe it’s the way the wind moves through the day. Maybe it’s the landscape, the road trip, the family gathered close, the private dinner, the way your partner looks at you when no one is telling them what to do.
Super 8 holds the pieces that feel hard to explain later. On your Zoom call, we’ll talk through your location, your coverage, your timeline, and whether Super 8 or hybrid Super 8 + digital video makes the most sense for the kind of story you want to keep.
