How to Get to Tre Cime di Lavaredo

1. Starting Point: Cortina d’Ampezzo or Dobbiaco
   • If you’re traveling by car, Cortina d’Ampezzo or Dobbiaco (Toblach) are the closest major towns to Tre Cime di Lavaredo. From either town, you’ll head towards the small village of Misurina (the gateway to Tre Cime)
2. Driving to Rifugio Auronzo
   • From Misurina, follow the signs for Rifugio Auronzo. This is the starting point for most hikes to Tre Cime. The road is well-maintained but has a toll (approximately €30-35 per car) to access the private toll road leading up to the refuge.
   • The drive takes you up a winding mountain road with stunning views. It’s about 7 kilometers (4.3 miles) from Misurina to Rifugio Auronzo and takes around 20 minutes.
3. Parking and Preparing for the Hike
   • Once you arrive at Rifugio Auronzo (elevation 2,320 meters or 7,610 feet), there is a large parking lot where you can leave your car. This is the starting point for several hiking trails, including the popular loop around Tre Cime.
   • Before starting your hike, you can enjoy a meal or coffee at the refuge, and take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks.
4. Hiking to Tre Cime di Lavaredo
   • The classic route is the Tre Cime Circuit, a relatively easy and well-marked trail that loops around the peaks. The hike takes about 3-4 hours, depending on your pace and how often you stop to take photos.
