Fun and playful are Karen + Matt’s middle name! From the moment we met at Petey’s in Rye, New Hampshire, we hit it off. I love getting to know my couples before I stick my camera in their face. I’ve found having a drink and grabbing a bite before their golden hour session is my sweet spot. These two were naturals with each other. I did not ask Matt to do the dip, he just did it himself! I encourage all my couples to just be themselves, don’t look at the camera and have a great time experiencing the surroundings. As you can see from their destination engagement session, that’s exactly what happened. I love their adventurous hearts and cannot wait to celebrate with them on their wedding day!
When I was trying to figure out what beaches to photograph Karen and Matt for their destination engagement, I did some research and found Jenness Beach in Rye, New Hampshire. I had been there a few years ago and it wasn’t nearly as crowded as it was on July 4. Thank goodness my husband and I found the perfect location close to where we were meeting them for dinner at Petey’s.
Why New Hampshire? George and I were on our way to Maine to see my family and Karen and Matt live in Boston. Destination engagements are always a good idea to enjoy a gorgeous summer day at the beach! If you want to get away, I have some stunning locations in the mountains, woodlands or waterfalls. We can go anywhere your heart desires and if that means to Ireland or Colorado, I won’t say no.
