This Is What It’s Like to Elope with the Acadia Elopement Collective
Misty cliffs. Mossy trails. Vows whispered into the wind. This is Acadia National Park. And this is how we help you elope with heart. We’re the Acadia Elopement Collective, a creative team of photographers, planners, and guides who know these wild coastlines by heart and help couples like you say “I do” in the most meaningful way possible in one of the most breathtaking places on Earth.
If you’re dreaming of an elopement that feels like you—rooted in nature, rich in emotion, and free from expectation—you’re in the right place.

Why We Built the Acadia Elopement Collective
Acadia isn’t just a destination — it’s a feeling. It’s wild, grounding, nostalgic. The kind of place that lingers in your soul and calls you back again and again.
I’ve been photographing elopements here since 2019, returning every summer and fall to soak in the magic of this coast — the tidepools and balsam forests, the foggy cliffs and glowing sunrises. For a long time, I was doing it all myself: planning timelines around the tides, scouting hidden gems, and documenting love stories
But over time, the dream outgrew me. And that felt like the best thing! So I built something bigger — a collective rooted in creativity, trust, and connection. A team that feels like chosen family. Now, I’m not walking these trails alone — I get to do this work alongside two incredible women who bring their own artistry and heart to every couple they serve.
Together, we are the Acadia Elopement Collective — your photographers, planners, artists, and guides.
Meet the Women Behind the Acadia Elopement Collective
If you want to get a feel for what it’s actually like to work with us, this conversation is a beautiful place to start. Ashley and I sat down to talk about how we built the Acadia Elopement Collective, how we support couples, why safety and care matter so much to us, and why we let the land lead in Acadia.
Corey
Founder, lead photographer, planner, and your biggest hype woman.
My approach is a blend of intuition and artistry. I notice the quiet in-between moments, the way the wind catches your dress, the softness in your partner’s eyes. I photograph in digital, film, and Super 8 to tell your story in a way that feels both nostalgic and cinematic. I’m the one helping you craft timelines, plan your day, and find those off-the-beaten-path gems that make Acadia so freaking magical.
I’ll be your first point of contact when you reach out. If you work with Ashley or Renee, I’m still here behind the scenes, cheering you on and editing every gallery so it is exactly what you were dreaming of.

Ashley
Ashley is a deeply intuitive artist based right here in Maine. She lives near Acadia and brings this grounded, soulful presence to every elopement. We met on Zoom, then hiked together at sunrise, and I just knew.
We bonded over nature, connection, and astrology (she’s a Cancer sun, I’m a Cancer moon — yes, we’re those people). Ashley treats every couple like gold and has been with the Collective for two seasons now. Her images are soft, emotional, and full of heart.

Our Signature Acadia Elopement Experience
We Connect
It all starts with an inquiry. Fill out the contact form on my website, and I’ll be in touch personally. If I’m available, amazing! If not, I’ll check availability with Ashley and find your perfect match.
We only photograph elopements at sunrise or sunset (for the dreamy light and to avoid crowds) and typically avoid weekends. Once we’ve got a match, we’ll hop on a Zoom call to talk about your story, your vision, and what lights you up.
We Start Planning Your Acadia Elopement with Heart
We don’t just send checklists. We co-create an intentional, relaxed timeline with recs for local florists, cozy stays, sunrise hike locations, playlists, picnics, and more. You’ll always feel held.

Your Photographer Match

Your Acadia Elopement Day
Your elopement day won’t be a stiff photo shoot. It will be an experience. Think quiet first looks on the cliffs, laughter in the mist, and deeply personal vows in the forest. We’ve worked with sunrise hikers, family-focused celebrations, dog-lovers, and deeply intimate queer love stories. This is your story! And we’re here to help you live it fully.
Film & Super 8
When you book directly with me, you can also add nostalgic 35mm film and Super 8 motion footage. It’s emotional, cinematic, and perfect for couples who want something extra special. This is a beautiful opportunity to capture the emotion of your day in a way digital just can’t.

How It Works to Work with the Acadia Elopement Collective
When you inquire with the Acadia Elopement Collective, Corey is your first point of contact from the very beginning. She is the one reading your inquiry, learning about your vision, and getting a feel for what kind of experience you want to create in Acadia.
From there, she helps guide the planning process just like she does with all of her couples. That means helping you design a thoughtful elopement experience around the best light, the best flow for your day, and the kind of moments you actually want to have together. We’ll talk through things like whether sunrise or sunset makes the most sense, what kind of scenery feels most like you, where to stay so your timeline flows well, and how to make the day feel relaxed instead of rushed.
If Ashley is the photographer for your date, you’re still getting Corey’s eyes on the full experience behind the scenes. She handles the planning. She designs your timeline and elopement experience. She shapes the overall vision for how your day will flow. Then Ashley photographs your elopement with the grounded, artful, emotionally present approach you see throughout this website and on the Acadia Elopement Collective Instagram.
After your day, Corey personally hand-edits every photo in your gallery in the signature style you came here for, so your images feel cohesive, intentional, and true to the work that drew you in.
About a month before your elopement, you’ll meet with Corey + Ashley on Zoom. That call is such an important part of the process. By then, Corey has already helped you build the foundation for your day, and on that call we walk through the timeline together, go over the locations and flow, talk through any final details, and make sure you feel fully comfortable and connected with the person photographing your elopement.
So even though Ashley may be the one with you on the trail, at the shoreline, or standing with you in the morning fog, this is still a fully supported collective experience. You are not being passed off. You are being cared for by a team. Ashley photographs your day beautifully, and I stay behind the scenes helping shape the experience and editing your images so everything feels aligned from start to finish.
That’s what makes this different. You get the heart, guidance, and artistic consistency of working with Corey, along with Ashley’s calm presence and local Maine connection on the day itself.

Our Team Retreat in Acadia
In May 2025, we gathered in Acadia to celebrate this new chapter together, which felt like a full-circle moment. We hosted two styled shoots: one to honor and uplift LGBTQ+ couples, and one with a sweet local family expecting their third baby (and getting their first-ever professional photos).
It was a beautiful chance for us to connect as a team, deepen our roots, and get really creative and show them how I photograph my couples, and give them feedback, plus work with other local creatives.

Two Acadia Elopements That Filled Our Hearts
As I mentioned before, we had the absolute honor of capturing two unforgettable elopements during our retreat that embodied everything we stand for. Two couples, two totally different days… and one shared thread: soulful, heart-led love in the wild beauty of Acadia.
Lauren + Kaine: A Joyful, Rooted Celebration by the Sea
Lauren and Kaine’s day was the kind of day that fills your heart, your lungs, and your camera roll. It felt like home. Not just for them, but for us, too! These two are proud Mainers, outdoorsy to the core, and deeply connected to the mossy trails and rocky beaches of Acadia. Their love felt steady and grounding, like forest roots — easy, deep, and full of joy.
Their day started slowly and intentionally, with quiet getting-ready moments in a modern Bar Harbor rental. The light streamed through the windows while they helped each other with final details, and there was this unspoken calm that only happens when you’re with your person in a place you love.
From there, the magic unfolded:
- Gorgeous florals from Seal Point Farm, grown just down the road, supporting local Maine flower farmers we love.
- A private vow exchange on a peaceful, tucked-away shoreline where the waves whispered like a blessing.
- A cozy beach picnic with gluten-free chocolate raspberry cake from Slice of Eden that had us all sneaking happy bites between shutter clicks.
- And to wrap it all up? A slow, sweet e-bike ride along the Acadia carriage roads — just the two of them, letting the landscapes and the quiet carry them into the next chapter.
Renee, Ashley, and I photographed it side by side, bringing different perspectives, angles, and so much laughter. We moved as a team, felt as a team, created as a team. This is what the Acadia Elopement Collective is all about: connection, intention, creativity, and wild Maine magic.

Amber + Beka: A Tender, Rain-Kissed Elopement in the Fog
If Lauren and Kaine’s day was sun-drenched and earthy, Amber and Beka’s was soft and windswept, yet just as beautiful and intentional.
From the moment they reached out, we knew they were our people. And when the rain showed up on the morning of their elopement? They didn’t flinch. They embraced it. They leaned in. And in doing so, they created something so real and raw that it gave us goosebumps.
With hair blowing in the wind, raindrops misting our lenses, and joy radiating from their every glance, they exchanged vows in the moody gray light. There was tenderness in every touch, laughter between every breath. It was the kind of day where you let go of what you thought an elopement should look like… and you just feel.
Being able to photograph their day, together as a team, only deepened our belief in what we’re building.
So many couples ask:
“Will it still feel like ‘Corey’ if I work with someone on your team?”
And the answer is: Absolutely. 1000x yes.
I photograph alongside Ashley and Renee. I mentor them. I edit every gallery with our signature soulful, storytelling style. Moreover, we share common values. We share heart. We move together with trust and intention, offering you not just beautiful images, but a deeply supportive experience that lets you be fully present in your day.
Amber and Beka’s elopement was a reminder of why we do this. Of how aligned we are. Of how powerful it is when love, nature, and artistry collide.

Why the Acadia Elopement Collective Is Different
- Rooted in Relationship – We’re not a referral network. We’re a team built on trust, shared values, and real connection.
- Film + Super 8 – We’re the only team in Acadia offering this nostalgic, cinematic experience alongside your digital gallery.
- Planning Included – From tide charts to trails, we’re your adventure guides and your photographers.
- Inclusive + Affirming – All love stories are welcome, honored, and celebrated.
- Signature Editing – I, Corey, will personally edit every gallery for that cinematic, cohesive feel.
- Ordained Team – In the summer, my husband, George (a teacher, runner, and gentle soul), joins as officiant. All three of us are also ordained and can sign your marriage license for those just-us elopements.
