Baby it’s cold outside! Who wouldn’t want a cozy home session for your engagement! Allie and Adam invited me to their beautiful log cabin they have been renovating for a cozy home session. Let’s just say, I want them to redesign my kitchen. Allie’s personal touches with her witty signage are even cuter. Their sweet dog, Thelma stole the show! I love old trucks and Adam keeps his Ford pick-up in mint condition. I followed them down the road to beautiful woodlands and then it happened, it started raining. We kept driving and by the time we got to our location, it turned to a drizzle, and we ventured into the woods. It was there we saw the rainbow through the trees! Rain can add its own magic and lucky us, the sun came out for a glorious sunset.
I always plan my sessions close to golden hour with the hopes that the sun will shine. Our last stop was at The Old Cider Mill where Allie used to work. She said the cider donuts are delicious and the perfect way to end our session. Unfortunately, donuts weren’t being sold, but the sunset was the icing on the cake. The light was golden like that of the New England landscape paintings you see hanging on gallery walls. I asked the owner if we could wander through the farm to the willow tree. Gratefully, she said yes. I’ve learned it never hurts to ask. Having the courage to ask and being kind goes a long way. I went home with a gallon of apple cider and new friends.
Let’s go for a ride and explore the countryside. I’d love to hear from you to book your engagement, elopement or intimate wedding!
