When to Elope on the Canary Islands

The Canary Islands enjoy a warm and sunny climate year-round, making it a great location for an elopement no matter what time of year! The most popular months for tourism are typically from June through August (Summer, baby!) and December through February (Holiday season!) Keep in mind that Tenerife may be more crowded during these times. If you’re looking for a quieter and more private experience, consider eloping during the shoulder season which is from March to May and September to November. But really you can’t go wrong any time of the year.

The average temperature in Tenerife ranges from 16°C (61°F) to 24°C (75°F) throughout the year, with August being the warmest month and January being the coolest month. The island does experience some rainfall, but it is typically limited to the winter months. Even if it does rain, the volcanic landscape and secluded beaches during a storm make for some wild and epic photos!

Overall, the best time to elope in Tenerife depends on your personal preferences and schedule. If you’re looking to avoid crowds and enjoy milder temperatures, consider eloping during the shoulder season. If you’re interested in taking advantage of the island’s many outdoor activities and excursions, such as hiking or stargazing, consider eloping during the summer months when the days are longer and the weather is warmer!
